13 year old girl with rickets (underlying bone problem)

Patient:

13 year old girl

Diagnosis:

Hypophosphatemic rickets with severe genu varum (bowed legs).

Multi-planar deformities.

Treatment:

Combined correction using acute deformity correction with FAN in femurs and gradual correction double level tibial osteotomies.

The femur was fixed using fixator assisted femoral nailing.

The tibia was fixed using a double level Taylor Spatial Frame.
